He enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, diversity, animals, arts, and architecture.”
Melissa Stevenson, Member:
Melissa Stevenson has been a board member since 2015. She is actively involved with fundraising and event planning for ICS. What drew Melissa to the school initially, is the fact that ICS provides a Christian education to children who otherwise would not have that opportunity. She received a Christian education for the majority of her childhood and see the true value in it. With time, she also realized how much she loves the children and teachers at the school.
Sarah Dickerson, Member:
Sarah joined the ICS Board of Directors in April 2016. She is completing her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Colorado-Boulder. She is passionate about getting kids excited about math and science. Sarah is enthusiastic about Inner City School and motivated to positively impact the children’s futures. In her spare time, Sarah enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with her friends, family, and little Jack Russell Terrier, Clint.
Randy Cordova, Secretary:
Randy’s most recent career was as a financial advisor, having enjoyed serving the Lord in that capacity for 12 years. Although he loved his work, he had to leave in 2013 for health reasons. Since that time he has volunteered at Inner City School as a member of the board and doing office help when the school was short on staff. He is passionate about seeing Inner City School succeed in developing students into faithful followers of Christ, into good citizens, and into persons of excellent character. In addition to Inner City School, Randy volunteers for Trout Unlimited. When his health and time allow, he loves to go fly fishing. At home, he enjoys spending time with family including several grandchildren and with Elliot his Yorkshire Terrier.
Brittany Lilley, Member:
Brittany joined ICS Board of Directors in April of 2016 after she helped with the annual ICs Gala earlier in the year. Brittany is from Dallas, Texas, she moved to Colorado in 2005 when she attended Colorado State University. After graduating in 2009 she moved to Denver and in January of 2016 she started working for Metco Landscape, Inc. and through her co-workers she learned of ICS and wanted to be a part of the school since hearing about ICS and going to the gala. Working with ICS and being on the board has meant a lot to her over the past year. She loves being able to give back and help provide a safe and happy environment for the kids and families that attend ICS.
Melanie Hurt, Treasurer:
Melanie is a veteran of the US Army, serving 7 years in the early 1990’s. After her service, she obtained her Accounting/Finance degree from CU Denver and has served in some form of accounting for the last 20 years. Currently, she is the CFO for Metco Landscape, Inc. Melanie enjoys volunteering for ICS, and she feels an affordable Christian education should be available to those who want it. Volunteering at various events for ICS has been a true blessing in her life.
Gregory Ritscher, Chairperson:
Greg joined the ICS Board of Directors in the Summer of 2016. Born into a military family and having lived in exotic lands (like Tripoli, Lybia & Southern California), Greg graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder (78’ Business Management), where he met his wife of 38 years (Phylis) and raised their three daughters. Greg enjoys teaching Bible study, staying fit, Yoga and outdoor activities (paddle boarding, etc). Greg and Phylis travel extensively and enjoy visiting their three grandchildren.
