Preschool/PreKindergarten

Programs

Inner City School strongly believes in the importance of early childhood education. ICS is a 3-Star Qualistar rated Preschool Program, licensed by the State of Colorado. ICS is also a member of the Denver Preschool Program (DPP), which helps cover tuition costs for preschoolers living within the city and county of Denver. Our preschool program focuses on reading, writing and problem solving skills to prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond. ICS’s preschool/prekindergarten services children ages 3 to 4 years of age.

At Inner City School we believe that every child is capable of a higher level of learning. Because we know and believe that our students have the potential to learn more if we challenge them, we hold a high academic standard for each student. Our curriculum is based on three components:

  • A-Beka: We use Christian curriculum and textbooks based on scriptural foundation for academic excellence and character development.
  • Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI):

Through our school's membership status with ACSI, we             are connected with other Christian schools not only                   internationally, but also within the Denver area. Through this association we participate in regional speech

competitions and science fair contests.

  • A-Beka Testing: We use A-Beka standardized assessment testing two times a year to ensure that our students are not only meeting but also exceeding normal grade-level expectations.
