Chad Corcoran, Member:
José Kabeya, Member:
José has been a board member since 2017. He is a husband, father of two boys, and founder of Morning Star Center for Social Progress, a nonprofit organization that seeks to empower impoverished communities through the development and implementation of projects in the area of education, healthcare, outreach, and community development in order to bring hope in the heart of Africa. He heads up the refugee program at Denver Rescue Mission helping refugees positively transition and acclimate to their new community while becoming self-sustainable and productive citizens. He enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, diversity, animals, the arts, and architecture.
Melissa Stevenson, Member:
Melissa Stevenson has been a board member since 2015. She is actively involved with fundraising and event planning for ICS. What drew Melissa to the school initially, is the fact that ICS provides a Christian education to children who otherwise would not have that opportunity. She received a Christian education for the majority of her childhood and see the true value in it. With time, she also realized how much she loves the children and teachers at the school.
Melanie Hurt, Treasurer:
Melanie is a veteran of the US Army, serving 7 years in the early 1990’s. After her service, she obtained her Accounting/Finance degree from CU Denver and has served in some form of accounting for the last 20 years. Currently, she is the CFO for Metco Landscape, Inc. Melanie enjoys volunteering for ICS, and she feels an affordable Christian education should be available to those who want it. Volunteering at various events for ICS has been a true blessing in her life.
Gregory Ritscher, Chairperson:
Greg joined the ICS Board of Directors in the Summer of 2016. Born into a military family and having lived in exotic lands (like Tripoli, Lybia & Southern California), Greg graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder (78’ Business Management), where he met his wife of 38 years (Phylis) and raised their three daughters. Greg enjoys teaching Bible study, staying fit, Yoga and outdoor activities (paddle boarding, etc). Greg and Phylis travel extensively and enjoy visiting their three grandchildren.
